How should children brush their teeth?

Updated on: October 15, 2025

Brushing children’s teeth should begin as soon as their teeth begin to appear. For children aged 0-3, brushing can be done once a day with a finger brush or a soft baby toothbrush. For children aged 3-6, brushing twice a day with a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste is recommended. Brushing habits should be instilled with parental supervision.
