Can a normal tooth extraction (difficult/complicated extractions) be performed immediately for an abscessed tooth?

If there is facial swelling or if numbness cannot be achieved, it is more appropriate to first suppress it with antibiotics and then perform a normal tooth extraction (for difficult/complicated extractions).
